|Four Good Stuffs

OK, this is getting exhausting. For the fourth straight Saturday we've been going from open house to open house, twice with no car. Today we saw six, and may finally have the clincher. I won't say which one so as not to jinx our chances, but this place suits yuriverse and me in nearly every aspect (needs a bigger bathtub), plus it has been marketed poorly so it looks fairly unappealing online and in brochures. The house and garden are not in the exaggerated state of perfection we have been seeing elsewhere, but we can transform it later if we want to. It's in a street you would imagine belonged in a country town, but five minutes' walk to a great stretch of a suburb beginning with B (not Burwood, Bondi, Bexley, Beaconsfield, Beverly Hills nor Boint Biper). It gives me the feelings. We likes.
Second in the list of goodness is a trip up to Turtle Cove in early September, during which we will be avoiding the APEC chaos in the CBD, instead drinking cocktails and beaching it up with like-minded pooves.
Third is our friendly neighbourhood cockatoos who have been visiting for free seed each morning. They have become rather insistent recently, so we have to make sure the don't expect it every day. Yeah, right, like either of us wouldn't become their bitches in a second. They say, "more seed, bitches" and we obey.
Finally, I'm going for a work trip to the snow next week - first time skiing since 1990. Halp! I have to try on my loud purple and green ski jacket and ski pants that used to fit me forty pounds ago. It's all muscle. Really.
