I'm brain tired, so I'll just list stuff:|
I peeped out the window at work watching the Sydney International Boat Show setting up. The Pyrmont Bridge opened several times. I fantasized about the entire stock being destroyed in a disaster (huge hail storm? Godzilla? whatever). All those $$$$$$$$ floating down there, lots ostentatious, some more modest. Most screaming, "I'm an asshole".
We looked at houses on Saturday - five of them in Paddington and Woollahra. It was exhausting without a car. All the houses had their problems, from crampedness, to plenty of space but illegal and must be ripped apart, to space but in dire need of renovation. Next weekend is the inner West. It's exciting but I wish it was already over.
Cancer has claimed another life on the tiny 18 house street where I grew up. The corner right near the Shell Oil tanks is the worst stretch - three deaths in the last year, two more dying. I wonder if it counts as a cluster? They're not all the same cancers, though.
Ingmar Bergman is dead and I only saw three of his movies while he lived - The Seventh Seal, Persona and Wild Strawberries. At least I've seen most of Woody Allen's movies (although I know lots of people can't stand his persona).
It's yuriverse's birthday this Monday. Come have dinner with us, why not?
